Use the template in this printable to create cards with animal family pairs. Students will use markers, crayons, or colored
pencils to color the pictures. They will then glue the pages to cardboard, laminate them, and then cut them apart. Place pictures of mother animals in one envelope and pictures of baby animals in another envelope. As a matching activity, allow students to draw one card from each envelope and have a partner try to match the animal pair using a card from the other envelope. This activity is appropriate for students in Pre-K through Grade 1 and should be supervised during construction of the cards.
