If you've never tried a student-led parent/guardian conference, this resource packet will give you all the tools necessary to try a new twist on the traditional parent-teacher meeting. It includes a letter to send home to parents describing the concept and process of a student-led conference, a preparation sheet that allows the student to discuss their strengths and goals, and a self-assessment for post-conference feedback. This packet is most appropriate for grades 3-8, but could be modified for use with younger grades, as well.
