If you are trying to get students to use more facts and details in their discussions and writing, this is the activity that you're going to want to introduce to them. Your students will learn what it is like to be a police officer constructing a police report. Inside the provided packet, you will find a teachers guide for how to complete the lesson with your students, sample police report worksheets, outlines and graphic organizers for tracking notes, and practice worksheets for studying essential skills such as summarizing. These activities are intended for students who are in grades 2-5, and you can modify which aspects of the packet you will use depending on the level of your students.
