Procedures

  1. Introduce key vocabulary: disease, harmful, populated, survive, wetland, wild, wildlife.
  2. Have students explore the Wild Critters website.
  3. Ask students to complete the Wild Critters worksheet using the information found on the Internet.
  4. Have students work individually or with partners.
  5. Set up a time when students can share and discuss their posters.

Extension Activities

As students learn why feeding wild animals can be more harmful than helpful, they will also explore ways they can respect and enjoy wildlife.
