Students classify a selection of animals as invertebrates (animals without backbones) and vertebrates (animals with backbones). Students are asked to fill in a chart with animal names, subgroup information, and pictures they cut and paste from the worksheet. This an excellent in-class activity, or can be assigned for take-home or independent completion. An answer key is provided.
