Sea Horses: Father Knows Best Vocabulary

embryo = a developing animal before it is born or hatched

fin = one of the moveable, fan-like body parts of a fish or other sea animal

incubation = the process of maintaining a warm environment prior to hatching

life cycle = the series of stages in the life of a living thing

pouch = a part of some animals that is like a bag or pocket used for carrying their young

snout = the part of an animal's head that sticks forward and includes the nose, mouth, and jaws
