These Women's History Month activities for middle school will help your students learn how to celebrate Women's History Month, both in the classroom and on their own!
You can assign these as extension or early-finisher activities, or give as take-home independent practice work. Several of the activities can be done as group work, or with parents and guardians.
This packet includes a choice board of 9 Women's History activities, plus all of the links and printables needed to complete the activities.
Students can choose from activities like:
Women Around the World
Find a remarkable woman from at least 3 different continents. Write their name in the correct state/country on a blank map. Draw a symbol next to them that represents their contribution to the world.
History Haiku
Read through this list of women in history. Choose 3 women. Write a haiku (follow a 5-7-5 pattern) about each of them. You may use Info Please if you need additional facts and research on each woman.
Women in the Workplace
Many years ago it was thought that women did not belong in the workplace. Write an opinion piece that argues against this stance. Use search engines like Info Please or this reference list to help support your stance. Create at least 3 paragraphs using capitalization and proper grammar.
