Pediatrician Dr. Ana Verónica Méndez is Chief of Pediatric Ambulatory Care at Richmond University Medical Center, where she works with a team of doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide children with medical care and families with support and compassion. Dr. Méndez talks about the path through medical school, her struggles as an immigrant who didn't speak any English, the importance of studying liberal arts in addition to the sciences, and a walkthrough of her (very!) busy schedule. She also discusses the importance of the female role models in her life and how they enabled her to persist, believe, and achieve success.
