Accommodations in Special Education
As part of an Individualized Education Plan (IEP) or Section 504 plan (also called a "504"), students with disabilities are entitled to modifications or accommodations to the classroom environment, curriculum, and other resources so that they can have access to the same learning methods available to other students. In the era of high-stakes state testing, accommodations for assessment have become a central focus of this area of of special education.
These special education classroom resources have been specially selected to help general and special education teachers with instructional and environmental accommodations and supports, such as assessment accommodation, special education classroom setup, accommodations for disabilities, and more.
