This essay project packet for grades 9-12 includes a brainstorming page, an outline page, and a rubric for students to write a topical five-paragraph essay. Students will learn very basic research skills, and how to find and cite a minimum of 3 sources. Encourage your students to delve into the history behind this famous man to learn more than just about one speech he gave. There is so much more to learn, and by using this packet, your students will have the opportunity to write about what they discover. This resource is a great activity for either the MLK Day holiday or Black History Month.
