What is a "free account" on TeacherVision?

We ask you to register for a free account to view material on TeacherVision. This means providing TeacherVision with your name, email address, and grade. Then, you can view three items on TeacherVision.

Do you offer discounts or coupons on your membership?

We occasionally offer discounts or coupons off the full price of membership. The best ways to find out about these promotions are to sign up for our newsletters, follow us on Facebook and Twitter, and visit TeacherVision.com regularly

Using TeacherVision

How can I find great content on TeacherVision?

Try entering a general search term, such as "biology" in the search bar. This will return a large number of results. Next, use the filters on the left side of the screen. With these filters, you will discover that the list of items for you to review becomes much more manageable.

For example, try filtering this way:
Subjects > Science > Earth Science
Grades > 2nd Grade

Tip: Give the "Type" filter a try. This filter lets you select the kind of resource that will be shown. Are you looking for a lesson? Are you looking for a book with great illustrations? Are you looking for a KWL chart? Use the "Type" filter to pick one of those. Filters like this will help you to find what you need and save you time in your search!

After viewing those three items, you will be asked to sign up for a subscription."

What content can I access with my account?

Visitor
An unregistered visitor who comes to TeacherVision can click on an item that does not have the Premium band and then preview the item onscreen. This can be done for as many non-premium items as desired. Visitors will not be able to save or download any TeacherVision content until they register with TeacherVision.

Registered user
A user who registers with TeacherVision by providing their name, email, and grade will then be able to save and download non-premium items on TeacherVision. A registered user also will be able to preview three items that are marked with the Premium band.

Subscribed user
This is any user who has selected a subscription plan and provided a payment method. Subscribed users will be able to view an unlimited number of items, including premium and non-premium content. Also, subscribed users will be able to view the TeacherVision site without advertisements.

Payment & Billing

I don't have a credit or debit card. Can I use another method of payment?

Yes, we accept PayPal as well as credit and debit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover) methods of payment at this time. We cannot currently accept Purchase Orders.

My account has expired, but I would like to continue my membership. How do I pay for a subscription on my existing account?

Log into your account using your current email address and password. You'll see a notice that your account has expired, but there will be a link for you to renew your membership. Click that link and follow the instructions for paying for a new year of membership.

I live outside the United States and would like to subscribe for a membership, but I don't have a ZIP code. What should I put in the ZIP code field in the registration form?

Customers outside of the U.S. may register for TeacherVision accounts by using their postal code. If your address does not use a postal code, you may enter '00000'.

Is state sales tax added to the price of a TeacherVision membership?

In states where tax is required, tax will be added to the price of a TeacherVision Membership. Currently, tax will be added to new purchases and to renewals for residents in the following states: UT and WA.

Managing Your Account

I am using Gmail. Why am I not receiving the emails about my subscription in my Inbox?

The confirmation and reminder emails we send you might get sorted into your Promotions tab or your Spam folder. Be sure you receive TeacherVision emails containing important account information by dragging them to your Primary tab, and then, in the popup message, select to do this same move for future messages from membership@teachervision.com.

How do I change the email address on my account?

To update the email address used for your TeacherVision account, log in using your existing email address. Click or tap the person icon in the top-right corner of the screen. Click or tap "My Account". Then, click or tap the red "Edit" link near the middle of the screen. You'll need to provide your account's password. Then, you can change your email address.

How do I change the password on my account?

To update the password used for your TeacherVision account, log into your account with your existing password. Click or tap the person icon in the top-right corner of the screen. Click or tap "My Account". Then, click or tap the red "Edit" link near the middle of the screen. Then complete the fields for existing password and new password.

How do I change my credit card?

You can update your payment method with the following steps:

  • Log into your TeacherVision account
  • Click "My Account" in the navigation panel on left side of the screen.
  • Under Payment Method, click the Update link.
  • Enter the credit or debit card that you would like to use for future charges. Click the Update button to save your info.

How can I print a receipt showing that my account invoice has been paid?

You can find PDFs showing all paid invoices for your account using the following steps:

  • Log into your TeacherVision account
  • Click "My Account" in the navigation panel on left side of the screen.
  • Click Print Receipt.
  • Click the number of the paid invoice that you would like to view or print. If you prefer, you can download the invoice from this screen as well.

Newsletters

Do you have any newsletters?

Yes, we currently have three newsletters, and they're all free! Great Stuff for Teachers is delivered twice a month and features seasonal and timely lessons, printables, tips, and activities tied to each grade in the K-12 range. Our Special Offers for Teachers newsletter is delivered 2-4 times per month and features free content for the classroom alongside exclusive educational deals. The DailyTeach newsletter connects historical and current events to the classroom curriculum.

How do I sign up for a newsletter?

Visit our Newsletter Center (https://www.teachervision.com/newsletter).

How do I unsubscribe from a newsletter?

To unsubscribe from a newsletter, visit our Newsletter Center (https://www.teachervision.com/newsletter/). In the box for Current Newsletter Subscribers, enter the email address where you receive TeacherVision newsletters. Then, uncheck the box next to the newsletter you wish to unsubscribe from and click Update.

I'm subscribed to a newsletter, but I'm no longer receiving it. Can you help?

Sometimes our newsletter may end up in your email provider's Spam or Junk folder, even if you've received the newsletter normally in the past. Check the Spam or Junk mail folder for our newsletter, mark it as Not Spam, then add hello at teachervision.com as a contact or friend (replace at with @-symbol); that way, your email provider will recognize the email address and newsletter as safe.

If you're still not receiving the newsletter, contact customer service and they will help figure out the issue.
