About Maureen 

Maureen Pflugfelder is a very experienced 5th grade science teacher and taught for nineteen years in the Houston Independent School District.  She is a former Medical Technologist (BS MT ASCP) and worked in a variety of clinical and research positions.  She also studied architecture at the University of Miami and is always looking for new and innovative ways of combining all her interests.  Alongside teaching, Maureen also volunteers at the Emergency Aid Coalition in Houston.
