Get Real: Rights Around the World
After students review each of the rights offered by the Bill of Rights, discuss with students countries where some or all of those rights don’t exist, countries like Myanmar and North Korea. Talk to them about how their lives would be different without the Bill of Rights.
Show students examples of propaganda and campaign posters from sites like the Library of Congress.
Using art supplies, or a graphic design app have students work in groups to illustrate the importance of one of the first nine amendments in the Bill of Rights.
